THE ROLE
You will report to the Senior Director of Strategy to ensure Stand affiliates have the capacity they need to execute strategic and impactful digital communications across a variety of social and digital platforms.  As a key member of Stand’s National Outreach and Engagement team, you will be responsible for partnering with Stand affiliates to support the development and execution of digital communications and execute layered digital advertising programs. This position reports to the Senior Director of Strategy and is remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Affiliate Social Content Creator
  • Partner with affiliate stakeholders to create and execute digital communication strategies, audience-led messaging strategies, and social listening strategies across various social platforms to drive narrative and engagement for impact on affiliate campaign goals.
  • Recommend, create, write, and execute an audience-led messaging strategy based on Meltwater social listening tool, advertising performance, partner and internal data, and trend analysis.
  • In partnership with affiliate stakeholders, provide customized social media strategies for each affiliate dependent on Impact Agenda Goals and needs.
  • Lead data analysis of social media strategy (engagement and messaging) performance through regular and just-in-time reports to stakeholders that provide key takeaways, recommendations, and other actionable next steps to help drive decision making.
  • Create and manage a monthly social editorial calendar, providing evergreen content, and impact agenda-specific content for both affiliates and National channels.
  • Execute and add capacity to affiliates to ensure a robust social presence across channels that can influence their Impact Agenda Goals - including but not limited to creating and designing graphics for use in social, digital, and text campaigns, creating/editing vertical videos, and supporting with editing.
  • Stay up to date on new developments in social media and digital advertising and trends suggesting new tools that will engage and empower various constituencies.
  • Train Marketing and Communications cohort and Organizing cohort on Meltwater, social strategies, best practices, etc.
Digital Advertising
  • Content creation support for digital advertising on social media and targeted digital content outlets.
  • Execute digital advertising placement, including targeted audience segmentation.
  • Navigate multi-channel advertising regulations, policies, and verification processes.
  • Collaborate with other communication specialists across the organization to adapt content for social media channels and digital advertising tactics.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and policy adherence across advertising platforms. 
  • Create a timely analysis of advertising performance for stakeholders that highlights takeaways, recommendations, and performance metrics to drive next steps and decision making.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Passionate commitment to Stand for Children's mission of educational success and social progress.
  • 7+ years of experience leading digital communications in a political, advocacy, or issue campaign organization.
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for innovation on social media, including but not limited to: Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
  • High competency with Google suite, Microsoft suite, EveryAction (or other CRM), Meltwater (or similar social listening tools), peer-to-peer texting platform, and social media platforms.
  • High competency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe, CapCut, Vocal Video, or other design and vertical video tools.
  • Experience creating and placing digital advertising content.
  • Experience leading social media content writing and creation.
  • Strong verbal and written skills, specifically focused on translating policy to diverse audiences and across multiple types of mediums.
  • Outcome-driven, self-starter, and proactive with the capacity to work both independently and with the team.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to leverage these to influence outcomes and achieve ambitious goals through staff at all levels.
  • Robust project management skills, including experience managing cross-functional projects in a distributed environment.
  • Communication skills: ability to communicate verbally (face-to-face and via phone), effective written communications (e.g., e-mail), and a fast, detail-oriented editor.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, distributed work environment, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong learning orientation and an ability to seek, embrace, and incorporate direct feedback from manager and team members.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $68,093- $85,116 commensurate with experience. Generous benefits.

Stand for Children consists of two separate entities. Stand for Children, Inc., a grassroots membership organization is exempt under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, and Stand for Children Leadership Center, a leadership development organization is exempt under section 501(c)(3)
